Chamber Welcomes Electrification and Energy Transition Panel
April 22, 2022(Toronto – April 22, 2022) – Today, Rocco Rossi, President and CEO of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) released the following statement in response to Ontario taking action on integrated energy planning for the continued reliability and affordability of the province’s clean energy supply by launching the Electrification and Energy Transition Panel.
“Long-term energy planning gives businesses the predictability they need to invest and grow with confidence in Ontario.
“An integrated approach recognizes that clean electricity and low-carbon fuels will both contribute to a reliable, sustainable, and affordable energy system in the province.
“Today’s announcement is an important step towards a competitive energy transition. This is something the OCC and its partners – as well as our Energy Policy Council – have called for, and we look forward to supporting the government’s efforts.”
