Ontario Chamber Welcomes Keanin Loomis to its Senior Leadership Team
February 1, 2023(Toronto – February 1, 2023) – The Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Keanin Loomis to the role of Vice President of Member Services effective today. In this role, he will be responsible for partnerships, as well as membership retention, stewardship, and growth.
“I am delighted to announce that Keanin Loomis is joining the OCC’s leadership team in the role of Vice President of Member Services. As former CEO of the Hamilton Chamber and two-time winner of the network’s prestigious executive of the year award, I can think of no one better to take on this exciting role,” said Rocco Rossi, President and CEO, OCC. “His exceptional leadership experience will be an excellent addition to our strong team. Please join me in welcoming him back to the Ontario Chamber Network.”
Loomis has more than 15 years of senior management experience, including a decade of strategic development as President and CEO of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce. Most recently, Keanin ran as a candidate in a very close race for Hamilton Mayor.
“I am simply thrilled to join the OCC leadership team. I have dedicated the last decade of my career to the Ontario Chamber Network and believe immensely in our mission,” said Loomis. “Our members play a very important role in supporting economic growth and prosperous communities and I look forward to working closely with them.”
Prior to his time at the Hamilton Chamber, Loomis held the role of Chief Operating Officer at the Innovation Factory. He has a BA Honours Political Science from the University of Waterloo and a Juris Doctor from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA. After practicing in the Washington, DC area for five years, in 2009, he made the fateful decision to find a more rewarding career path and moved his family back to Canada. Keanin is a Director of the Hamilton-Oshawa Port Authority and is raising three children with his wife Trish in Hamilton’s Lower City.
