Ontario Chamber Welcomes Julie Martini as VP, Public Affairs
April 24, 2024(Toronto – April 24, 2024)—The Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) has appointed Julie Martini as its Vice President of Public Affairs, effective today. Martini will play a critical role in advocating for Ontario’s business community, driving policy discussions, and positioning the OCC as a leader in public conversations.
“We are excited to welcome Julie Martini to the Ontario Chamber’s leadership team as our new Vice President of Public Affairs,” said Daniel Tisch, President and CEO of the OCC. “Her extensive experience in government relations, marketing, communications, operations, and strategy make her an excellent addition to our team. Julie’s dedication to collaboration, service excellence, and inclusion will help bolster the OCC’s influence and elevate our brand equity, reinforcing our position as the leading voice of Ontario’s business community.”
Martini’s most recent experience at Advocis, the Financial Advisors Association of Canada, was marked by a steady ascent through increasingly senior positions. Beginning as Director of Marketing and Communications in 2017, she swiftly rose to the role of Vice President of Public Affairs and Marketing within a year. Her responsibilities continued to expand, encompassing strategy, leading to her appointment as the association’s Chief Operating Officer in 2023.
“I am eager to embark on this new chapter with the OCC,” Martini shared. “After more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services sector, I am excited to expand my impact, advance our mission, and shape the OCC’s future direction, ensuring we remain indispensable partners to business.”
Martini has a proven track record in innovative marketing campaigns, advocating for legislative change, and building strategic partnerships. A McGill University graduate, she holds the Professional Certified Marketer (PCM®) and Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP®) designations, along with a Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University.
