“The Ontario Chamber of Commerce welcomes today’s funding announcement in support of our province’s colleges and universities as a reasonable first step to supporting their sustainability. The investment shows the government understands the pivotal role of post-secondary institutions in regional economic growth, talent development and economic competitiveness.
“Ontario should aspire over time to have the best-funded post-secondary institutions in Canada. That’s why we urge the government to take additional action to implement the recommendations from Ontario’s Blue-Ribbon Panel report and look forward to collaborating to ensure the province remains at the forefront of knowledge, innovation, and opportunity.”
