Ontario Chamber Reacts to Expansion of Beverage Alcohol Sales

(Toronto – December 14, 2023) – Today, Ontario Chamber of Commerce, President and CEO, Rocco Rossi, released the following statement in reaction to the Ontario Government’s announcement to expand beverage alcohol sales:

“We welcome the Ontario government’s plan announced today to broaden the sales of beverage alcohol, appreciating that social responsibility measures have been integrated to support this initiative. It’s a progressive step that promises to enhance convenience for consumers while also opening up new avenues for economic growth and market expansion, especially for local producers. We look forward to gathering further feedback from our members to provide insights to the government, ensuring that the implementation of this initiative aligns with the best interests of Ontario’s business community.”
