Ontario Business Achievement Awards to Celebrate Incredible Achievements and Innovations of Ontario Businesses
November 19, 2018(Toronto – November 19, 2018) – The Ontario Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 2018 Ontario Business Achievement Awards (OBAAs) on November 21 at the Liberty Grand in Toronto. Since 1983, the OBAAs have been the most recognized industry gala in the province with a single focus on celebrating business success.
This year’s OBAAs will be hosted by critically acclaimed Global News anchor and Queen’s Park Bureau Chief, Alan Carter. Throughout the evening, we will celebrate our spectacular Ontario business community, highlighting the incredible innovations and achievements of each one of our 2018 OBAA finalists.
“Every year we are thrilled to come together to celebrate the accomplishments of the Ontario business community. Over the past 36 years, the OBAAs have become the most recognized industry gala recognizing businesses of all sizes across Ontario,” says Rocco Rossi, President and CEO of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce.
This year, the OCC has added several exciting additions to the program. The OBAAs will honour the inspiring achievements of Donald Ziraldo and Karl Kaiser, the pioneers of Ontario’s wine industry, through our very first Lifetime Achievement Award.
The gala will also feature a charity auction with proceeds going to the Wounded Warriors. Wounded Warriors Canada honours and supports Canada’s ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans, first responders and their families.
Our annual event provides an opportunity to shine a light on business success across the province and recognize achievements in innovation, entrepreneurship, integrity and the hard work of the businesses built in our own backyard,” added Rossi.
