July 17, 2023(TORONTO – July 17, 2023) – The Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) is proud to unveil the theme for its 41st Ontario Business Achievement Awards (OBAAs), Building a Sustainable Future. The OBAAs, known as the province’s most prestigious business celebration, will be televised on TLN on October 14, 2023 and focus on celebrating business success.
“Ontario is at a pivotal moment, presenting us with opportunities to plan and commit to the long-term sustainable growth of the province. We are excited to celebrate the remarkable achievements of business leaders who are driving this positive change,” said Louie Di Palma, Vice SME Programs. “This year’s OBAAs will showcase the incredible potential of Ontario’s homegrown talent, resources, and solutions in addressing sustainability challenges while simultaneously propelling Canada’s economic resilience forward.”
This year’s broadcast on TLN TV will feature six back-to-back episodes celebrating business leaders who continue to push the envelope on sustainability while highlighting critical investments their companies are making to contribute to the long-term economic growth of the province. The OCC will present the CEO of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Awards, and for the first time, the OCC will present the Association CEO of the Year Award. This award will be given to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and contributions to Ontario’s sustainable growth.
“This year’s OBAAs highlight businesses that are supporting Ontario’s sustainable growth by addressing the needs of our aging population, executing ambitious critical mineral and mining operations, and developing cybersecurity tools that will keep businesses and consumers safe online.”
Thank you to the OCC’s Series Presenting Partner, CN and Broadcast Partner, TLN Media Group, for their ongoing support of the OBAAs.
The 2023 OBAAs will premiere on Saturday, October 14, with an encore presentation on October 15.
