OCC, CME & Tenaris Call for Changes to Federal Bill C-69
May 14, 2019(Toronto – May 14, 2019) – Dennis Darby, CEO of the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters, Dave McHattie, Vice-President, Institutional Relations, Canada of Tenaris, and Ashley Challinor, Vice President of Policy of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce will come together for a press conference on May 15, 2019 to call for changes on Bill C-69, An Act to enact the Impact Assessment Act and the Canadian Energy Regulator Act, to amend the Navigation Protection Act.
Bill C-69 will impact the ability to build major projects in Ontario and impair our economic growth and potential. If projects do not get built in the province or elsewhere in Canada, Ontario will suffer as it is the manufacturing backbone of the country and the supplier of goods and materials for most major development projects.
