Ontario Chamber of Commerce hosts former chair of Democratic National Committee for Debrief on the US Election
November 16, 2020(Toronto, November 16, 2020) – Tomorrow, join the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) on November 17, 2020, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. for a Debrief of the 2020 US Presidential Election with political strategist and former acting chair of the Democratic National Committee, Donna Brazile. The event will be moderated by Mercedes Stephenson, host of the national political affairs program The West Block and Ottawa Bureau Chief for Global News.
In a year that has been nothing short of one-of-a-kind, the US presidential election was no exception. Brazile will bring her decades of political experience to analyze the results of the election and provide her thoughts on what it means for Canada and the North American economy.
“In the most monumental election in US history, Biden secured enough votes to win the presidency. We know for a fact that the results of the US presidential election will have a major impact on the North American economy,” said Brazile. “I’m looking forward to discussing how our two countries can work together to come out of 2020 stronger and more resilient.”
This event is hosted by the OCC as part of the virtual 2020 Ontario Economic Series. As it has been for nearly 20 years, OES 2020 continues to be the forum for visionary leaders in the public, private, education and not-for-profit sectors to shape Ontario’s future growth and role in the global economy.
“None of us could have imagined the unprecedented challenges presented by a global pandemic in Canada and around the world. We look forward to hearing from Donna Brazile to close our Ontario Economic Series with a look towards what the future holds for both of our countries,” added Rocco Rossi, President and CEO of the OCC. “At a time where they have been unparalleled developments around social justice, inclusivity, collaboration, and the sharing of ideas from around the world will be central to achieving greater prosperity here in Ontario and across the border.”
