Careful Reopening Key to Long-Term Success
May 14, 2020(Toronto – May 14, 2020) – Today, Rocco Rossi, President & CEO, Ontario Chamber of Commerce released the following statement in reaction to the province’s first phase of economic recovery:
“Ontario’s business community welcomes a cautious and pragmatic opening of the economy. We applaud the Province for putting us on a careful path to recovery.
“Employers across the province have been concerned about how to access personal protective equipment to open safely. We are so pleased the province has stepped up to provide this critical support.
“Testing, tracking and tracing will be key for containment of the virus and successful re-opening of the economy.”
“Chambers of commerce and boards of trade across the country are calling for coordination and collaboration on six critical elements to reopening to ensure society reopens in a harmonized fashion that prioritizes individual safety and economic stability.
