2021 Ontario Economic Report

The Ontario Economic Report is the landmark research platform of the OCC. The report traditionally highlights the year that was and the year ahead, offering a unique perspective on the experience of businesses of all sizes across the province. The OER is a data-driven, evidenced-based document rooted in the OCC’s annual survey of its members, the Business Confidence Survey (BCS). The BCS illuminates trends in economic activity and provides a grassroots perspective of how Ontario businesses feel about the economic outlook of the province and their organizations.

The fifth annual OER will be released in January 2021, as usual. However, its content and format will be better reflective of the unprecedented year that was 2020 and the unpredictability of 2021. Throughout fall 2020, the OCC conducted a series of microsurveys.
