October 10, 2024

(Toronto – October 10, 2024) – The Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) is pleased to announce Shelly Anwyll’s appointment to Vice President of Business Development and Member Experience. She will lead key initiatives that enhance member engagement, drive business development, and create strategic opportunities for Ontario’s business community.

“As our new VP of Business Development and Member Experience, Shelly Anwyll will play a key role in delivering the Ontario Chamber’s value proposition as the indispensable partner to businesses of all sizes, sectors and communities,” said Daniel Tisch, President and CEO of the OCC. “Shelly’s extensive experience in sales, business development, brand building and corporate partnerships will help strengthen the OCC’s positive impact on behalf of our members across Ontario.”

Anwyll brings a wealth of experience from senior executive roles in sales and business development across corporate and nonprofit sectors. Her expertise spans creating sustainable growth strategies and providing value-added services to various organizations, such as the SickKids Foundation and DCM.

“I am thrilled to join the OCC leadership team and help strengthen Ontario’s business community,” Anwyll shared. “Strong communities are the foundation of any successful organization, and with our members playing a pivotal role in building vibrant communities across Ontario, I look forward to working closely with them.

Anwyll holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Laurentian University and has completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School. She is passionate about community involvement, serving as Executive Co-Chair of NextUp Toronto and holding national committee roles with the Arthritis Society of Canada. Shelly’s leadership extends to global initiatives, including her advisory role with the Ecuador Federal Government.
