Energy Policy Council
Businesses need clean, affordable, and reliable energy to operate productively and meet their climate commitments. The ongoing energy transition elicits new opportunities and challenges for Ontario’s business community and economy. The province is also approaching a period of electricity supply shortfalls that will require long-term investments in new infrastructure for the first time in several years.
Fortunately, our energy sector is ripe with made-in-Ontario solutions that are a win-win for both the environment and the economy. Forward thinking and collaboration across regions and sectors will be necessary to pave a path forward.
The OCC oversees a permanent Energy Policy Council composed of leading industry experts with a mandate to inform our policy and advocacy efforts in this space. This initiative is supported with insights and technical expertise from Sussex Strategy Group’s Energy and Environment Practice.
