In particular, Michael works with his clients to successfully plan and execute their technology enabled transformation programs, and to adopt an external ‘citizen/customer centric’ digital mindset while leveraging the benefits of cloud platforms and disruptive technology. Michael actively advises Board members and senior management on important transformation elements including sponsorship, governance, effective delivery structure, risk management, organizational change management and the downstream system development lifecycle activities. In his role as a trusted advisor, Michael has successfully delivered several of KPMG Canada’s largest multi-year transformation programs for his clients.
In his role as the National Industry Leader for Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare (IGH), Michael focuses on creating a culture of Purpose and Collaboration across the sector communities within KPMG Canada. His goals – among others – are to drive KPMG’s client engagement nationally via an industry lens, and to foster an environment where great team members can make a large impact while developing exciting careers. Michael also collaborates across the KPMG Global IGH Leadership community and represents the Canadian member firm. It has been a privilege to be part of such a fantastic journey thus far at KPMG.
Prior to joining KPMG, Michael held a senior leadership role at Gartner Canada – a global leader for technology research/advisory services – where he leveraged his objectivity and experience to advise Board members, CxOs and IT leadership on their key technology decisions and programs. Michael built the foundation of his career implementing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems while at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). Michael holds a B.Comm (Honours) from Queen’s University and an MBA from the University of Warwick, UK.
