Access Wage Subsidy Funding and Achieve Your Digital Goals with the Boost Your Business Technology Grant

August 24, 2023

The Boost Your Business Technology grant is one of two grants available through the Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP). It offers multiple benefits to help Canadian-owned small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) become more competitive and resilient.

Eligible businesses can use the grant to cover the cost of up to $15,000 worth of services from a digital advisor. SMEs also get access to an interest-free loan of up to $100,000 to acquire and implement new technologies.

In addition, grant recipients can receive up to $7,300 in wage subsidy funding. The funds must be used to hire a student or recent graduate to support the implementation of new technologies and digital strategies.

To learn more about CDAP and the Boost Your Business Technology grant, visit this website or submit an application.

How to access wage subsidy funding and hire

Businesses must work with an advisor to establish a digital adoption plan before applying for wage subsidy funding.

Magnet is administering the wage subsidy element of the Boost Your Business Technology grant and is supporting eligible employers by providing access to a nationwide pool of skilled youth.

Employers can find the talent they need by posting their job in Magnet’s Youth Boost community. Youth Boost is a free platform that helps young job seekers build the digital and interpersonal skills they need for career success. Employers are not required to hire youth through Magnet so long as they meet program eligibility requirements.

Youth Boost offers resources, tools and learning labs that help users develop in-demand skills across a range of sectors and industries. It also offers training on social skills and emotional intelligence, as well as resume and interview preparation.

SMEs can also use Magnet to target their job posting to users in the Outcome Campus Connect community to reach students and recent graduates from more than 120 post-secondary institutions across Canada.

Apply for the Boost Your Business Technology grant to get started on your search for candidates by visiting cdap.magnet.today.

Once an organization has been approved for the grant and has worked with a digital advisor to establish a digital adoption plan, it becomes eligible for wage subsidy funding.

If you have questions about the Boost Your Business Technology grant or posting a job on Magnet, we’re always happy to help. Write to us at boostyourbusiness@magnet.today.
