Relay Tangie
Relay is the Director of Finance at the National Aboriginal Capital Corporations Association (NACCA) and is leading the establishment of the Indigenous Prosperity Foundation (IPF). NACCA serves First Nations, Métis, and Inuit entrepreneurs and communities nationwide through its network of Indigenous Financial Institutions that provide capital solutions. The Indigenous Prosperity Foundation, in collaboration with major financial donors, offers access to training, mentorship, digital technologies, and funding for Indigenous women, youth, and early-stage entrepreneurs.
With over 20 years of experience, she has demonstrated sound leadership in strategic decision-making, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement. Relay has held leadership positions in both the not-for-profit and business sectors in the UK and Canada. Most recently, she has led a number of NACCA’s strategic initiatives, including its property acquisition in Ottawa and the launch of the ADAAWE Indigenous Business Hub and Foundation.
Relay is a Chartered Professional Accountant, holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and is dedicated to promoting sound financial governance and innovative strategies. She sits on the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada Indigenous Working Group and is also an Inaugural Board Director of Immigrant Entrepreneurs Canada, a national non-profit organization supporting newcomer entrepreneurs to succeed in Canada.
