About the Sustainability Award:

The Sustainability Award is awarded to a business that has demonstrated that being a leader in sustainability makes good business sense.

Finalist: Bruce Power

Industry: Nuclear Energy

About: Bruce Power is Canada’s first private nuclear generator, providing 30% of Ontario’s power. Bruce Power has 4,200 full-time, highly-skilled employees across the province, with over 90% of employees owning a part of the company. Bruce Power injects billions into Ontario’s economy, while producing safe energy with zero carbon emissions.

What makes Bruce Power a leader in sustainability? Bruce Power has made it their mission to ensure their processes have no significant adverse effects on the environment. This commitment to the environment has allowed them to maintain their Environment Management System Registration since 2005.
