Shakiba Shayani

Shakiba was named President and CEO of the Guelph Chamber of Commerce in the fall of 2019 after serving a term as a Director on the Board of the Guelph Chamber of Commerce. She graduated from University of Guelph with an Honours BA in Criminal Justice and Public Policy followed by a post-graduate certificate in International Development from Humber College in Toronto. During her studies, she worked with international development agencies such and World Vision Canada and Free the Children, and national organizations such as Dream Catcher Mentoring. She also spent time delivering federal social service programs at Service Canada.
Prior to becoming President and CEO of the Guelph Chamber, she spent 6 years as the Director of Community Investment with United Way Guelph Wellington.
In her current role, she continues to work directly with many local stakeholders to contribute to the inclusive economic prosperity of the community.
Shakiba feels that Guelph at the OCC table would offer strong representation in the Agri-food, Innovation and Renewable Energy Sector.
