Ontario Chamber Welcomes Vincent Caron as VP, Policy
September 2, 2025(Toronto – September 2, 2025)—The Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) today announces the appointment of Vincent Caron as Vice President of Policy. Caron was most recently a vice president at the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) and will play a key role in shaping public policy initiatives that reflect OCC members’ needs. He will also support the organization’s purpose to bring inclusive and sustainable prosperity to Ontario’s businesses, workers, and communities.
“In Vincent Caron, we welcome a public policy leader who shares the Ontario Chamber’s purpose and ambition for impact,” said Daniel Tisch, President and CEO of the OCC. “With more than 15 years’ experience across government, industry, and advocacy, Vincent brings us deep expertise in public policy, a proven record of advancing the interests of businesses in Ontario, and a passion for strengthening Ontario’s economic competitiveness.”
At CME, Vincent served as Vice President of Ontario Government Relations and Member Advocacy. He worked closely with government and industry to drive policies that reduce costs and spur investment. He played a pivotal role in advocating for the implementation and expansion of the Ontario-Made Manufacturing Investment Tax Credit, among other measures supported by the OCC to help manufacturers during a period of economic disruption.
“I am excited to join the Ontario Chamber, an organization I have long admired,” Caron said. “Having worked alongside the OCC and its regional network of chambers, advocating for the removal of interprovincial barriers and pushing for greater protection of employment lands, I have seen firsthand the impact it has in leading and amplifying the voice of Ontario businesses. I look forward to contributing to a stronger, more competitive, and more inclusive economy for communities across the province.”
Prior to his work at CME, Vincent worked for the governments of Ontario and Canada, including at Industry Canada and Public Safety Canada, where he was responsible for implementing the Canada/U.S. Beyond the Border Action Plan. Originally from Quebec City, Vincent holds a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Bristol in England. He is a proud father of two girls.
