Ontario Chamber Welcomes Province’s New Mining Framework to Cut Red Tape
October 20, 2025(TORONTO – October 20, 2025) – The Ontario Chamber of Commerce’s President and CEO, Daniel Tisch, issued the following statement in response to the Ontario government’s introduction of the “One Project, One Process” framework to streamline mining approvals and accelerate development of critical mineral projects:
“Critical minerals can help Ontario shape its economic destiny – but there’s a need for speed. That is why the Ontario Chamber of Commerce has advocated the One Project, One Process framework.
We welcome the single-window approach, the dedicated project teams, and the government’s commitment to clear, transparent standards for review timelines.
“This will improve predictability, reduce risk and make Ontario more attractive for investment as we strive to get big things built and big things done.
“The Ontario Chamber looks forward to working collaboratively with the government, Indigenous communities, and our Mining Policy Council to realize Ontario’s mining potential – and realize long-term benefits for our businesses, workers, and communities.”
