Building Canada Strong Act Answers Business Calls for More Predictable Investment Climate

(TORONTO – September 22, 2026) – Today, the Ontario Chamber of Commerce’s President and CEO, Daniel Tisch, issued the following statement on the federal government’s introduction of the Building Canada Strong Act:

“Canada gets stronger when businesses can invest, build and compete with confidence. The Building Canada Strong Act will help make that possible.

“The bill advances several Ontario Chamber recommendations, including expanding the ‘one project, one process’ principle, reducing duplication in major project approvals, strengthening trade and transportation infrastructure, and supporting more stable labour relations across Canada’s critical supply chains.

“We look forward to working with both the federal and provincial governments to deliver faster project approvals, stronger supply chains, stable labour relations, and long-term economic resilience.”
